Is God Finding Us?

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:23 NKJV

We have heard people say “I found God”, but truth is, He was never lost. But we still found Him in a sense because we weren’t looking for Him in the first place. Kinda like realizing we lost our car keys. But actually, they were never lost until we needed them. They were right where they were before we forgot where we left them. They weren’t lost, our ability to find them was. We just went about our business with no keys on our thoughts until we needed them. To us though, they were lost. From the keys point of view, (yes I’m stretching pretty far here) they were wondering why we didn’t just come right to them.

So the real question I want to ask, “is God finding us?” I’m sure most of us have played hide-and-seek before, and kept changing our hiding spot to make it harder for the person seeking us. The only difference is we can’t hide from God or outsmart Him. So yes, He can find us, but “does He want to is the deeper, more thought provoking question?” The Bible says the Father seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. He’s seeks because He enjoys our praises. Our thankfulness. Our gratitude. Our desire to know Him more. He senses our spirit crying out for His and knows there is no fake facade, but a genuine outpouring of us worshiping Him. And believe me, we know when He finds us. We feel His Glory, His peace, His joy… healing… deliverance… comfort… (you can add your own here). There is a connection made like no other when He finds us.

Blessings!
