Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Mark 4:39-40 NKJV
I’ve learned over the years that Jesus can bring peace to us in two ways. He can either calm us, His child, or make the storms of life around us calm. Either way, He gives us His peace. Now when Jesus first got into the boat with the disciples, He told them “let us cross over to the other side”. Jesus had every intention of making it over rain or shine, that’s why He went to sleep and had peace even though everyone else was fearful. If they would have believed Jesus’ word they would have had peace too. But we know the outcome from their fear and lack of faith.
If circumstances around us keep on raging like the sea, we need to ask Jesus to rebuke the storm, or rebuke our faith and not be fearful. We should trust that He is our help in times of trouble and brings peace to us or our situation. And if He says we are going over to the other side, regardless of the weather forecast, you can call it done.

Yes, praying Tyrone. Just stick to your faith. We are all a work in progress. Jesus will help you overcome and as He spoke to the sea, speak to your situation and you will be victorious. With God, all things are possible.
