Our Unique Uniqueness

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.”

Psalm 139:14-16 NKJV

   We are all unique and made in God’s image. So much so, as he has given us our own unique and individual fingerprints. Yep. No one else has the same fingerprints as we do. He has also given us our own unique and different eyes. Our eyes have a blueprint in them, a complex pattern that is totally ours. It is amazing to think that of all the billions of people in this world, that we are unique and different from the rest of them.

   That is only a small portion of how unique we are. Our brains, minds, souls, voices, emotions too are unique. Now imagine what unique and different individual tasks God has set before us. That we have all been called to a specific task or tasks. There are rooms or plans we need to get into that are security protected, and we can be the only ones to get into. God says he has plans for us, so that means there are different and unique doors for us to enter in. Nobody else can enter these rooms, or these callings, except us. We try to get into other rooms but can’t get in because we don’t have access. They are for someone else. Ours has our own specific fingerprint, eye recognition system.

   So what is keeping us from getting into these rooms? Could it be that we don’t even know we have the security access to get into these places? We have clearance, but the devil has put us on a security lock-down! We are not even aware that we have access to these things. We keep asking, and seeking God, where do we fit in? Where are we supposed to be? What are we supposed to do for his kingdom? The truth is we already have the answer. We are holding the answers in our own unique uniqueness.

   So as we enter into the next phase or plan God has for us, let us find these doors that may look scary. That we are apprehensive about entering. Let us realize that we are the only ones that can gain access because there is a mission inside that place only we can fulfill. We have the clearance and need to use it. There are others depending on us. There are missions we need to go on. Nobody else can do them but us, because they are as unique as we are and both are a perfect match. We are all “made in secret, and skillfully wrought”. Our “days (are) fashioned for me (us)”.

Blessing!

  1. I love this post! I hope you don’t mind that I reblogged it on my Walking with Christ page. This is a great call to all of us to continue seeking His plan for our lives.

  2. I love this! I am actually reading a book that talks exactly about the same thing. And just like He told Jeremiah, God made only one version of us and He custom designed us for a one-of-a-kind assignment. I’m still reading and learning on how to break free from this “epidemic of commonness” that has so plagued the world, and find my God-given purpose.
