Never Quit Trying

In my Christian lifetime, all the roads I have been down trying to figure out what God wanted me to do, and how to get there, is all summed up in one phrase: I have tried a lot of ideas; and either failed, quit, or succeeded. I pray I never fail to quit trying. I know it may take a few times to read that statement to fully grasp it, but I’m not afraid of admitting that my walk with God hasn’t been perfect. I haven’t always made the right decisions, waited for His divine timing, nor have I obeyed every leading of His Spirit. With that said, I have learned a lot over the years. Mostly what not to do.

Praying, I believe is the main key. Not praying is like not having a map or some kind of navigational device. God may speak to us loudly what we are to do, but just running with the idea and not seeking Him for direction and timing is fruitless. Remember, His ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours. So how can we guess what God’s’ plan is or how to carry it out? I have learned with lots of regrets that praying is critical.

Yes. I have had to learn the hard way, with many tears and heartaches, that I somehow missed God. But after I came back to myself, I continued forward and sought His next plan for my life. I never quit trying. Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) says, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Notice it says plans and not plan. Even the most experienced fail. But they get back up. Learn from their mistakes. And never fail to quit trying.

Blessings!
